Xbox 360 still working with Red Ring of Death + FIX

Wednesday Oct 29, 2008

UPDATE:
For everyone who says I have another 360: I don’t. Look at other people’s comments who got the exactly the same before their 360 died as well (my 360 died like 2 weeks after this weird error). Between my monitor and television is a Nintendo Wii, it’s not another 360 or whatever!

UPDATE2:
Honoured:
#81 - Most Discussed (All Time) - People & Blogs - Netherlands

ORIGINAL TEXT:
Got my Xbox 360 back just today and I ran it one time without a problem. Next time, I get the Ring of Death (again).

But I noticed my TV still got a signal: it still worked but the Rings of Death remained there. Seriously, wtf?

Guess I should be happy it is working but it’s still kinda weird… =’)

UPDATE: I had to clear the cache of my hard drive and memory unit according to Xbox Customer Support and now the Ring of Death is gone! Do the following:

Go to Memory in System. Than press: X - X - LB - RB - X - X
You will get a message asking for performing maintance. Press yes. Turn your Xbox 360 off, remove your hard drive and/or memory unit and turn on your 360. Check if the red light is gone. Than turn your 360 off, attach the hard drive and/or memory unit and this problem should be fixed.

NOTE: This fix only works when your Xbox 360 is working properly but still displaying the Ring of Death!

FOURTH XBOX 360 DIES ! I’VE HAD IT !! RED RING OF DEATH

Wednesday Oct 22, 2008

MY FOURTH XBOX 360 DIES, FOR THE LAST TIME.

Dear microsoftfags, the intercooler does not mess up the 360. People have been adding fans, mod chips and lights for over a year to the 360.

Stop mindlessly believing what they tell you.
The intercooler uses 3x.1 amp fans. That’s 3.6
watts. The PSU outputs 200 watts and the 360 uses
160 watts. So unless the fans are causing immense
DC ripple, or using 13 watts each, please STFU
and stop being a parrot. TY.

I got a ring of death on the first 360 I bought within 15 days.(It was a launch system)
The next one wouldn’t play dvd movies, it would freeze and die at the DVD layer change. I returned it and the replacement unit was the same. So that was two in one shot. This is the one I bought at another store after that incident, and after maybe a year here it is gone bad.

I originally had it vertical, and got lots of disc read errors on a new game. I tried it horizontal, and it still gave disc read errors. Lastly I tried the intercooler and it stopped the disc read errors for about a month.

Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death Fix, RROD Can Suck On My Bawls!!!

Wednesday Oct 8, 2008

Ugh, my 360 kicked the virtual bucket yet again. I had played Rock Band for less then 24 hours…perfect timing for the box to break eh? Please enjoy my rant :p

Also, I know it looks hella messy with all those wires etc, but it’s usually a lot more neat and organized down there. It’s just a jungle of cables because I was ripping everything out in a frantic rush to fix my box, but to no avail. Oh well.

I also apologize to anyone who was in a desperate prayer that this vid would solve your red ring of death. Sorry guys, my bad. The only way to fix it is to indeed send it in for repairs, anything else is just a temp fix at best.

Oh, and if you like this vid, please let all your friends know about it. If the vid get’s a lot of views then it will motivate me to film something even better. Plus, getting views makes me happy =P

Xbox 360 Farewell - Red Ring of Death (RROD)

Wednesday Sep 17, 2008

On February 15th, tragedy struck as my beloved Xbox 360 fell victim to the Red Ring of Death (RROD).

The purpose of this video is not to bash Microsoft. I primarily made this to brush up on my video editing. Still, I love my 360, and I look forward to the arrival of my replacement console. In fact, I have been quite impressed by Microsoft’s devotion in providing replacement consoles in what must have been a substantial allocation of resources.

However, the fact of the matter is that these consoles were hastily pushed through the design/testing phase of development to meet marketing goals and Microsoft has yet to produce a stable and reliable motherboard.

I took exceptional care of my system. As you can see it’s sitting out in the open on a cool tile floor (not on carpet or in an enclosed space).

Microsoft has announced plans to release a new motherboard with a new 65nm GPU alongside the recently-added 65nm CPU. Let’s hope they finally fix the RROD issue once and for all.

On a side note, when I dropped my return box off at UPS, the clerk instantly recognized the packaging and said that they get 3-4 return drop-offs a day…

My Xbox 360 ’s Death (Red Ring Of Death)

Wednesday Sep 10, 2008

This is the death of my xbox 360, It was just 2 months old. I was going to record just a freezing screen, what i got instead was death! Red ring of death!

But its fine now, i sent it to microsoft and they got me a new one.

The towel trick did work but it was not a definitive solution.

Update: My second xbox 360 died too, I got it back in 5 days, it runs cooler but its noisy.

Music By Koh Otani (Shadow Of The Colossus)

Edit: I’m sick of stupid people who say “its no well ventilated, stand it up, its overheating, put it in your fridge when you play” Its a design flaw, why do you think bill gates has extended their warranty to 3 years??? because its their fault! Not the user’s!
Besides its not there anymore I dont even live in the same house.
And stop complaining about the “low battery” blinking controller that has nothing to do, dumbasses!

If you are one of the Rtards who think Elites dont get RROD take a look in here: http://mx.youtube.com/results?search_query=elite+red+ring+of+death&search_type= then go eat some Sh1t!!!
